About The Big Break

The Big Break is an independent music publication built around conversations with artists, songwriters, producers, and industry professionals about the stories behind their careers. Created by a Music Industry student at USC and an independent artist, The Big Break grew out of a curiosity about what actually happens behind the scenes of a career in music, including the unexpected opportunities, creative decisions, setbacks, and turning points that shape where someone ends up. Through interviews and features, The Big Break explores the different paths people take through the industry and the moments that become their “big break.”
